I walk with Black & Brown women through the transitions that silence, break, or confuse them & guide them back into their power, their voice, & their womb. Whether I’m holding you through labor, through the postpartum months that follow, or through a loss no one prepared you for, this is the work I do at Dawn Doula Services. I learned & remembered this work as it came through my ancestors, my own spiritual deaths, my rebirths, & the wisdom carried within me. I accepted my calling as a Spiritual Death Doula when Spirit showed me that the first soul I would guide through a sacred death was my own. I had to die to who I thought I was. I had to release pain I inherited. I had to meet my ancestors face-to-face. I had to rebirth the woman I am today.
I am also a mother of two & my own path into birthwork was shaped by living through birth trauma & pregnancy loss myself. I know what it feels like to mover through a birth that didn’t go as planned & to grieve a pregnancy without anyone equipped to hold that grief alongside me. Dawn Doula Services exists because I needed this kind of support once & could not find it in one place.
Everything I teach I have lived. Every ritual I offer I have walked through. This is why I hold both sides of birth because I know from the inside a mother should never be handed off to someone new at the moment she needs it most.
I believe that healing is a sacred cycle, not a straight line, & that the womb is the original altar where our deepest truths & ancestral wisdom reside. Grief is both a teacher & a portal guiding us towards transformation, while our ancestors walk with us daily to support, protect, & guide your journey. Death is never an ending, it’s a sacred transition that gives us a chance to shed what no longer serves & rise renewed. Black mothers & women deserve spiritual safe spaces where they can fall apart, release, & rise into their power at every stage of birth. I am here to be that space for you, holding presence for your labor, your losses, your release, & your rebirth.
